The Fenimore Art Museum showcases the outstanding American art collections of the The New York State Historical Association, including folk art, genre paintings and James Fenimore Cooper memorabilia. The museum also boasts The Eugene and Clare Thaw collection of American Indian Art, housed in its own wing, and described by the New York Times as a collection any museum in the world should envy. The Thaw Collection turns ten this year (2005). Join us for the special anniversary celebrations.
