The Center is unique in the Southeast, with 65 acres of old-growth forest, the nation’s third largest traditional planetarium, an observatory with a 36-inch telescope, two electron microscopes, a science reference library, an interactive distance learning studio, and laboratory facilities in meteorology, microbiology, chemistry, physics, geology, physiology, ecology, ornithology and seismology.
