Located in inland southern Delaware is Trap Pond State Park. The pond created in the 1700’s is today part of freshwater wetlands and contains the northernmost stand of baldcypress trees in the U.S. A popular pastime is to boat amongst the trees with several types of vessel available for renting, and a small ramp for launching is available. Pontoon boat tours are narrated by the park interpreter every weekend and holiday from Memorial Day thru Labor Day.

One can also hike a trail, go fishing, attend a nature program, or camp in the campground. A campground store with amenities is available. Picnic areas and pavilions overlooking the pond are available with volleyball courts, horseshoe pits and a playground nearby.
