Founded in 1983, Opera Colorado has become one of Denver’s leading arts institutions. Opera Colorado’s mission is to entertain our audience by creating the passion, excitement and art of grand opera in its original languages and to promote opera to the widest possible audience through educational and cultural activities. Each season, Opera Colorado presents three mainstage productions at the new Ellie Caulkins Opera House that attract international media, renowned opera singers, as well as emerging talent. In addition to offering the mainstage grand operas, Opera Colorado’s education and outreach programs serve an average of 20,000 children and adults through touring in the Denver Metro Region and the State of Colorado.
